About

Chinle Planting Hope’s mission is to practice creative community development on the Navajo Nation that builds up all community members’ mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Our community is comprised of natural leaders, artisans, entrepreneurs, educators, healers. To fulfill the complex needs, we seek to form long-term relationships with those working to improve lives in Chinle and beyond. To develop a community center, a local church granted us three acres of land, conveniently located on Highway 191 between the Chinle hospital and public schools. The

COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted the Navajo Nation, and we have been distributing food boxes with fresh produce to our vulnerable neighbors. Building on this initiative, we are preparing to develop a community garden at our new community center.
