About
The mission of the Hozho Voices of Healing Center, Inc. (Hozho Center) is to establish and maintain an indigenous community center guided by the Dine’ philosophy of Ho’zho’ (to exist in a state of wellbeing physically, emotionally, and spiritually) and K’e’ (to exist for the welfare of all our relatives for today and future generations); to synthesize indigenous regenerative land and water management, gardening, animal husbandry through regenerative agropastoral ecosystem; to synthesize indigenous teachings, practices, rituals and ceremonies for mind, body and spiritual well-being to maintain resilient indigenous communities; to provide educational programing, experiential learning, and applied research in the symbiotic relationship between indigenous regenerative agropastoralism and community resilience; to partner with other indigenous organizations, enterprises, communities and indigenous Nations to promote, establish and maintain resilient indigenous agropastoral communities. A major component of our caretaker responsibility is supporting a flock of Navajo-Churro sheep on the land for breeding and Research.
