Four Corners Rising

Four Corners Rising began as a project of University of Colorado at Boulder, in recognition of the need of an NGO organization to support Navajo community leadership in Northwestern New Mexico. The founding members of the Board were convened as advisors to that project. It quickly became clear that (1) the organization must be Navajo-led and (2) the organization would be most effective as a standalone 501(c)(3) rather than an academic project. Four Corners Rising (4CR) is a newly established, Navajo-led organization dedicated to working with Navajo communities in Northwestern New Mexico that are creating community and economic development plans related to the construction of the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project “NGWSP”.
